Xuan-Yuan Sword VII tells the tale of a swordsman who lives in ancient China. After the emperor was illegally overthrown, a series of catastrophes befell the local community. Players must journey through dangerous lands and combat fierce enemies in order to unravel the truth.

Xuan-Yuan Sword VII offers a narrative-driven adventure that is similar to other well-known franchises, such as Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within. This is then combined with magic, ancient Chinese lore, and a host of enemies that must be faced if the player hopes to be victorious.

Mechanical monsters

While set in ancient times, there are instances when mechanical opponents created by a class known as the "Mohists" will need to be faced. Slightly steampunk in nature, this deviation provides a pleasant sense of variety throughout the gameplay.

In terms of the overall action, the 2D top-down battles offered by this game can be compared to other franchises, such as Diablo Immortal. The main difference is that Xuan-Yuan Sword VII has placed a significant amount of focus on the storyline. Therefore, it should be quite attractive to RPG fans.
